Team FishSlayers

Attention Slayers, our newest mission has been made official.  We will be a man down on this mission as Private Parts Nick Birtwell will most likely miss this one, although he will try to sneak aboard last minute if he can.  I have not received word on the participation of Gunnery Sgt. O'Neill, but the mission is set regardless.  ETA in NH; Thursday night, January 22nd for some, Friday morning for others.  We will need to discuss food, carpooling and locations.  I say we keep food simple and inexpensive....lasagna, burgers, etc.

Next, who can go Thursday night, get on the road for like 5 or 6??  I am thinking we can do this  trip in two or three vehicles, Todd and Chuck will be going together on Friday morning, if Brian is in I am sure he will be with them, that leaves Timmay, Luke, Zach and I.  I am willing to drive if you guys want, can we get all our gear in the back of my truck, I am thinking yeah.

Last, where would everyone like to go?  I think Hawkins is high on the list, check out the Upcoming events to see a map of it.  Some other mentions have been Stinson, Squam and Waukewan.  I wouldn't mind something we can't get to with our boats, maybe Perch Pond or some of the others close to the condo that are smaller in size.  If Squam is one of our choices, I think Rattlesnake Cove is the place to go.  Stinson would be real nice too, the guys who went to the Bachelor Party will remember that one, I flipped the canoe there...ha ha!

Anyway, lets get this stuff ironed out in the next couple weeks, I will look forward to some action on our new website....

Code Name: Ice Cube

I'll be bringing around 7 or 8 tip-ups for anyone that needs extras. I have an auger two ice scoops, a propane burner, fry pan, and the infamous "ICE CUBE" shanty. I'll be haul this in the Jet sled so there will be room for others to put your stuff on.

I can go up in the General's Tank with you guys early on Thursday.

In the mean time I will start pulling out the maps and be looking in the abstract to ensure we pick water that we can put down 5 tip-ups each. That may rule out Squam since it is has lake trout restrictions. Any water that has that restriction will keep us to two lines per slayer.

I'll report back soon with suggestions and links.

I have 4 pop-ups and will hopefully buy another before I go. I think we can have 6 in NH. I have no Shanty, no auger and no intention of getting one of either.

Basically I do this 3-5 times a year and will contribute what I can. Chuck, Tim and the brothers Stedman will most likely have to carry us through this adventure. Either way, I'm in for the laughs. Birtwell you puss... you're missin out!
